I am sure this has been talked over on here. But i was wondering. I use Tmobile and was wondering what internet do you guys use with you p910 phone. do you have to use the 19.99 plan? or can you do the 4.99 tzone?

You can use the 4.99 tzone for both internal browser and Opera browser. To use Opera you must set proxy.

How fast is the 4.99 tzone service. Right now, I can browse the web with opera on a regular dialup at about 9600bps. Good enough for Google searches to find restaurant or other business phone numbers.

Hmm with the t-zones can u search as much as you want and only pay 4.99?

ive gone with the $20 plan

too much hassle using the $4.99

Yes, with internal browser or Opera. Can't be use with any apps that don't let you set proxy. Example you cant use Agile Messangers with $4.99

Thanks to this forum I got my Opera back in bizz. I have been trying to figure out how to get Agilemobile working again but I guess no can do. Is there any other way of using AIM? Any 3rd party apps that works with the combo P910i+tzones? For some reason it doesnt even work for me from tmobiles own wap page where you can log into AIM, just giving me a WAP gateway error. Tmobiles tech support was just blaming my unsupported P910i.... :rolleyes2

Try IM+ suppose to not go through any gateway.

thanks for all the info guy. I think i will stick with the 20$ plan i can run alot of programs with the 20$ plan that i could not with the 4.99 paln. but any other sughestions would be great!

Great choice... to go with the $20 plan.

I have had it for about two years now and it has been very useful. You can do everything you can with your home internet connection while mobile! Quite handy!

T-Mobile, at least in the past, has changed on a regular basis what the T-Zones can have access to. The internet2 or internet3 APN has been very consistant!

Downloaded IM+ trial version and installed it. Didn't work. Everything else works like a charm except instant messaging. Not a big deal but if someone got it working with P9xx let me know. Funny thing that AIM doesn't work even with Tmobiles own wap page: myvoicestream.com. I get the signon screen but it doesnt log in...

Been using the $20 plan for 18 months now and am quite happy.

One of my favorites apps is Weather Center. Check it out over at Handango. Worth every penny.

I guess, you cant IM without the $19.99 plan then...

Which sucks.

I installed agile and after a couple minutes of trying it finally connected and logged on to AIM and I imed my own pc to make sure it was working, it did. I logged off and the next time I went to try it it never worked, and still doesnt.

How about surfing the net, checking your hotmail, and using msn messenger? Can it be done, and which service is better for them, the t-zones or the 20.00 one?

I can surf every site I know of without a problem, I can check my AOL mail and GMail accounts. I have not tried to use MSN messenger but as far as I know AIM is the one that won't work.

I have the $4.99 T-Zones plan.

How about hotmail? Yahoo mail and yahoo messeger?

I don't use hotmail but I don't see why you can just go to hotmail.com and log in on the p910, as for yahoo messenger like I said I think it is just AIM that has the problem with the $4.99 plan.

not to sound ignorant, but how do you set the proxy on Opera? I can browse the web using the build in browser but i can't get Opera to work... it says "connected" but doesn't seem to do anything

thanks in advance
