Hi, first time here.

I have a 7135 Smartphone, the other day, it just started acting real weird. Turns itself off. Can't dial out, I can enter the number, but then when I press send, nothing happens. I can voicedial sometimes, but the phone never connects with the provider. I talked to my provider(Telus here in Alberta), but they weren't any help, there is nothing wrong on their end, the phone just plain does not connect. I tried everything I could think of, I reset it, removed the battery, removed the battery and reset it. Synced it with my computer to try and restore the previous settings, nothing works........

any ideas? I talked to the guys where I bought it back in Dec '03, and they told me that they have had a few(would not say exactly how many) with similar problems that they have sent back to Kyocera, and then Kyocera just sends them back and deems the irrepairable. Maybe they just want to sell me a new phone.

Up until now, I was very happy with the phone......

I went back to the Kyocera website, and followed their instructions for a 'hard reset' and voila. Like nothing happened.

Don't know why the two different phone dealers I went to could not figure that one out, or even suggest it.....

oh well..
