I have played around with both ROMs and I got to say that the 1.40 is better with cameraspeed, menu speed is just a bit faster.

Even when I play ringtones from my MiniSD card they sound clear with no cutting out. Volume I would say is the same across the border.

Did anyone experience anything else...I realy want to make a decision regards to what ROM should I keep but for now 1.40 looks like a winner.

Before I try it does it have those ugly skinny fonts like one of the Asian ROM's did...If it does I won't bother with it. 1.39 is what I am running now and it is faster and seems to handle memory processes better than 1.30 but I would like to try 1.40 if the fonts are ok.

I wouldn't mind trying the 1.40 ROM with Cingular opr if it's an improvement over 1.39!

it probably does. being a chinese rom, it has to have thinner fonts, otherwise you wouldnt be able to read the little chinese lettering.

right? but im sure you could smf it to fix things

i using the 1.40 ROM and yes, the smaller fonts are there. i loaded BlindLemon to change the home screen and some of the menu fonts to Tahoma. my very unofficial tests lead me to believe that the earpiece volume is better with 1.40. menu speed/responsiveness is improved and email checking is vastly improved and consistent (re: checks every hour as configured vs randomly with the Cingular 1.03). the system sounds are also much louder. i can't remember if 1.39 uses the outside speaker for system sounds like 1.40 does. although i've gotten used to the smaller fonts, if i knew how to remove them with reflashing the phone i'd probably do it.
