Well I have been waiting to get a hiptop2 ever since I first saw it. For the past few weeks I had been waiting for Fido to get them back instock but they still haven't so I decided to pay a little more and get one off the buy/sell/trade.

So far I like the unit however the keyboard is going to take some getting use too it just seems a little different than the orginal hiptop.

But all and all I am very happy with it

Don't write off the keyboard just yet - when I switched to the 2 I hated the keyboard outright, but after about a week you get used to the keyboard being deeper and I'm now as fast or faster than I ever was with the original hiptop. The different GSM module, the nicer button layout, and the speakerphone make it all head and shoulders above the old device. And it's loads more reliable too.

And don't hold it upside down when you use it

/is it just me or the wheel area used to be the speaker on the HT1? Not its the mic...

Yea the speaker on the HT1 is beside the jog dial.

How do u like it so far Cellular Centre? I've been using mine for 2 weeks now, and I like it, the jog dial seems more durable on the II version, and the speaker/ringer volumes seem a bit louder and more clear

Yae I love my HT2 I couldn't live without it The jog dail does seem better, the speaker and ringers sound a lot louder and clearer. I am very impressed with mine. I just wish I could find a nice leather case for it that goes right on the unit.
