Free calendar application for Smartphone -papyrus

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I downloaded the above calendar app - as its title suggested that it FREE but it appears to be a gimmick to attract innocent members to download the application thinking it’s free. As it transpires in my case that after a while the trial period has expired and now it’s demanding me to buy the app.
I am basically stuck, as I cannot view my appointments anymore, whenever I try to view appointments I get blocked and instead a screen appears demanding to enter the key, something I don’t have. It is extremely annoying to see that people out there are happy to trick innocent users who have enough on their plate to learn to use their phone let alone forced to buy applications.
Is anyone out there can help me to view my appointments, please.
Cheers guys

I think you should think more before making baseless allegations. Did you see when the original post was made, or atleast read through the initial pages before jumping to the last page and downloading the application.

For your information - the initial post was made when the application was indeed free and in Beta testing mode. Then as the application progressed from free beta to paid commercial - the progress, the features and all are well documented in the thread itself. Now if you want everything free, no one can help you but think before accusing.

(Has been using papyrus from the very very beginnning! and happy about the same.)

i believe there is still an older version of papyrus, that is totally free. or a beta version is available if u are willing to test it.

its not amit's fault that threads cant be edited more then 15 mins or so after they are posted, otherwise i am sure he would have gone and changed the thread title!

if u want to view ur appointments, uninstall papyrus. it wont delete your appointments. otherwise, keep papyrus, and just open the default outlook calendar and use that.

I believe papyrus supplants the native calendar. I think he needs to uninstall to regain the use of the inbuilt calendar. Might just be better to buy anyway.

Papyrus only replaces the links. If you edit the shortcuts or navigate to the original calendar you can regain access. If you are not going to buy Papyrus then why keep the unregistered program installed? FYI the vesion you need is 0.9.07 that was the last version thatt had no time limit, but that program is not nearly the full featured product that you had before it expired. If you contact Amit he will email you a copy of the old beta. My adivce is to buy the new version. I liked papyrus so much that I bought one for my MPx220 and another one for my wife's SMT5600.

LOL...looks like you're gonna have to put a finger in the chili to pull this "innocent user" and "demands" crap. Good luck at Wendy's.

Thanks to those who provided constructive replies, was willing to purchase the app but after reading george2350’s reply, decided against it. The app will be removed from my phone immediately.

Hi MandM

I'm terribly sorry for the confusion with the post title, this post started a while back when Papyrus was still in public beta stages and a free application, but this was a while ago.

To get your default calendar application working again simply uninstall Papyrus

I'm not exactly sure why you decided to give-up on Papyrus, but If you would like to receive the last free public beta version we had simply email me to amit@sbsh.net and I will be glad to email you the last totally free public beta version we had

Hope this helps.

You've got a great app there, guy! One complaint out of thousands...That's a good ratio.

The guy isn't lcomplaining about Papyrus. He just wants it for free. Ipsofacto I think the Papyrus rep is still perfect.
