mpx220 missed call alert?

I need to get all the notifications that I can from my phone when I miss a call.
With my samsung the l.e.d. on the phone will blink and the exterior lcd will light up with a missed call message-friggin great!

So far with the mpx all I've found is a one time ringtone (telling me I have voicemail) that if i don't hear it on the first and only warning ring I'm out of luck.(of course if i could hear the voice mail warning I probably would have heard the initial ringing and answered the phone)
Yes if I open the flip and look down to the right I'll see that the soft key has changed to missed calls, which is good but not enough.
I guess what we need is to have a led on the phone or atleast a repeating tone for missed calls(similar to nextel which has a repeating tone for it's direct call alert).
My question: is there a way to set repeating tones/ warnings for missed calls or at least voice mail?

i havent messed with an mpx in a while, but what about a wav file in the same directory as all the other tones?

wavs (not mp3s) are valid for system tones. maybe a longer wav would help you? you could add silence in there so it would seem like it was occurring more than once.

again, im not positive because i havent looked at this in a while, but this seems correct, if thats what youre asking for.

thanks laskuh,
yes, I've put a longer ringtone for notification and turned up system volume to "loud" ( i've found that the built-in ringtone called "Sonic" is extremely loud).
Now everything is very loud but of course still doesn't repeat.
Maybe a programer will write a program that could do this, make the exterior display blink or a warning tone repeat periodically.
to be continued...

i have 6 days left on my 30 day trial, this phone keeeps looking better all the time, and the etf is I think $150 so I'm not sure yet if I should keep it...

I predict you'll be one of the first to get the next model of smartphone 5 as soon as somebody releases it.

nono... i was saying that you should make a wav file. have the sound on the file go for about 5 seconds and then have silence for 3 or so, then sound again. it would all be in one wav, but there would be silence between the notification sound. its a cheap way around the problem, but i think it would work.

anyone else?

okay,
problem for me would be that i would need it to run for maybe 20 minutes, that would be a big file, but I'll keep it in the back of my mind .
I tend to set phone down and walk away for maybe a half hour or even more than walk by and look/listen to phone to see if I missed any calls.
thanks

oh jesus. haha. im not aware of anything like that. do other phones have that feature? im sure theres something that can be done - perhaps a reminder that only runs if youve missed a call? i know you can program things to change on the homescreen if youve missed a call, so...i dont know maybe someone can program it to check if theres a missed call and, if so, itll run a wav. i got no clue

The phone does not have missed call alerts and no app exists for them. There are no work arounds. SMS notify has a reminder feature in it, but not on default senders. It does nothing for calls. To say the developer of that app is less than responsive is an understatement. I started tinkering around with programming it myself(never written an app for smartphone), but I'm getting an A780 this week and I might jump ship. Its infuriating that the feature is not there. Almost all Motos have it. Once you get used to this feature, you can't live without it.
