GF's I730 keeps resetting :(

Under Trace Mode> Resets (24)> all are R0122

my phone:

Phone Model : I730A
CP Ver: 30.03/19.00
USR ver: U00A.01.04
CSD Ver : C01.06.02
Software : R0A.00.08
No resets

I have a USB data cable and have loaded some ringtones/games via Webjal. I have never updated either phones software. What do I need to do to update her phones software so it is like mine and hopefully not restart?

i'm not aware of what that reset code means, but in the meantime you might wanna try the A-GPS update from motorola. it'll update the software and fix the gps bug in i730 software versions R0A.00.00-R0A.00.06. one of the affects of the bug are random resets.

since you have a data cable, check out:

(links for download are at the end of the page)

you should also be eligible for a free data cable and a-gps update cd that they ship 2-day air.

side note: any service center or retail store can/should do it for free. the A-GPS update utility is around an 80 meg download

When updating software, will all the contacts/settings/etc. be lost? I am in the process of downloading the software now

If they could be lost, how can I back them up
