Treo 650 - Cingular & E-mail...

Ok, am I missing something? On my new Treao 650 (and yes, I've read the manual), I synch and I also use VersaMail to get NEW emails. I can get emails on the Treo no problem, BUT, if I then download my emails, via POP onto my PC (as I would at the end of the day), and then check mail later that night on the Treo, the ones I downloaded onto it earlier that day are gone...
So, tell me, is it gone because I've now downloaded it via my POP on my PC? I would think that it would keep a copy on the device, no?
In additon, does anyone know of a free or cheap program to synch my Outlook 2003 email folders?

There is an option in Versamail for POP3 accounts where you tell it to keep messages on the server. It's under the advanced options for the account. Also, in case you are doing this, when you delete the message on the Treo don't check the box to delete it on the server.

...but that is not the issue. I know how to keep it on the server, till I download it via my PC. But, once I download it on my PC, should the copy that was on my Treo not still be there?
