I just wanted to let you know that there has been a HUGE BREAKTHROUGH as far reading the filesystem of iDEN phones!

Lab RSS? Depot RSS? WebJAL? A THING FROM THE PAST my friend!

Thanks to mikelblackberry, we will be able to have an application much like P2KTools, and PST. This will allow us to upload ringtones, wallpaper, etc., as well as DOWNLOAD them off our phone. We also will be able to change the startup and shutdown images right at the source. We can also see the BOOST DOUBLE LOCK in the memory, so it won't be long until we can figure out how to bypass it. Also, we are even able to see the DC "chirps" in the filesystem (they look to be .WAV files but we are unclear at this moment as they have no extension and appear to be RAW data.)

Great. Let me know if you need a beta tester. My friend can download the "mobile email enhanced" from the downloads menu but I cannot even though we both have the save service plan on our i730's. So the idea is that he will download the app to his phone, we'll download it from his phone to the PC and upload it to mine.

BTW- NEXTEL does not have a clue why this is happening. Some people said wait until May-15 for mobile email enhanced but it is already out there for some people. I have spent MANY hours on the phone with CS this week.

It is still under development. It will be a little while before we get a program with a UI out there.... Check out meogee.com for the details.

Actually, the thread is not "dead". There is only one post in the thread now and that is from moose (mikelblackberry). He stated that the original thread was moved and locked, but the thread I link to is open and active. Proof will be posted shortly.

When you toast your phone will you post that as well?
Produce something and then bring it over here to the "Big Show". Threads of that nature are always welcome...

I apologize if anything was linked to my site here that can not be viewed but it is a private area of my site. THere is actual work being done, I can verify it, there is no proof at the moment. I am someone who can be trusted, I do frequent here and I supermod at WOG for RIck also. This was unecessary, actually, and the thread originater is not the developer. I apologize Yodude, do as you please with this thread but there will be proof when the time is right and that is not now.

And yes toasting your phone is VERY possible, as per the developer, during a conversation I had with him.

My comments were directed at the poster and not at the work that is being done. As Rik tried to point out, until there is verifiable proof on anything, his post was at best just gossip.

A lot of people know what can and can't be done. More than a few people have been working on this for quite some time now. However, most would agree that it pro'lly won't be viewed as a positive thing by the folks in Schaumburg, Ill. And folks running back and forth between boards with the latest gossip would serve no positive purpose.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it, Rick you are so cute. Anyway, yea call it gossip for now and shut it down, all those who participate have been warned on my board. I dont want this to happen again, it wasn't supposed to to begin with.
