How do you get midi files to the phone's memory w/out a data cable?

Posted by: JPax

I've tried about everything I can think of.

Uploaded the files to my web page and went to the location on my phone, was able to listen to them but not save them.

Forwarded them to an HTTP email account as a attachment and accessed it via phone, couldn't get to the attachement.

I think that the sms address is phone#@messaging.sprintpcs.com so I tried that but nothing's come through.

Sent to PCSmail account w/my username and no luck there either.

Alright, some more searching gave me a result I could use. If you're having this same problem go to www.t1mmy.net. He's got a vision tool that will let you send downloaded midi files to your phone. Works well and turned out to be pretty handy.

Do I have to SignUp or something like that to be able to use this website tool? Or maybe even pay any money for the service?

I bought the cable for my RL4920 at Radio Shack for under $20. Then go to BITPIM.ORG and download their free phone manager that allows you to upload ringers, wallpaper, contacts etc. Great piece of software as I have used it for syncing my last three Sprint phones. The software supports several phone models.....FREE
