On the Sidekick II you can store up to 36 pictures, and have up to 2000 contacts in your address book which all have Photo Identity availiabe..

My question is how can you put a picture for your contacts without having to keep them in your Gallery?? Can you only have pictures for 36 people? If so, the camera purposes are gone after those people. I don't really understand the Logic behind this
Is there any way to take a picture and attach it to a contact without having to save it in the Gallery??

Please Help!!

1. Take Picture
2. Apply to Address Book listing
3. Delete picture. See Address Book entry unaffected.

Good question on whether all 2000 addy book entries can have pictures associated with them. Anyone know?

I believe that the SK II does have a seperate image cache for Caller ID images than the reg. Gallery...so the caller ID pic will not be affected if deleted from the gallery - although it cannot be re-assigned once deleted.
