I read in an earlier post that someone else had a problem with their ridata mini sd disk. i seem to be having problems also but don't know if it is related.
I know how to create the directories but it says "reconstruction failed" i have tried reformatting on the phone and the computer. both are successful but reconstruction still fails.. i've tried both FAT and FAT32 formatting.
Any ideas?
info:
Ridata mini SD 512 MB

I just bought my cdm8940 and also just bought sandisk miniSD, but thankfully it's still in a package ready to be returned if needed.

Follow SirFAl's guide exactly, and I think most importantly, start with a brand new card which goes straight from the shrink wrap into the phone (and not into a card reader or other device first). My 512 miniSd works fine; I trashed the first one by putting into card reader and messing with it first (RiData did replace it though).

i have a 128 scandisk.

Works great. You just have to get it formatted by the phone an then youll find the folers you need.

dunno if this helps, but I just bought a 512 meg Ridata miniSD and I popped it in my cell phone and it works fine. I transfer files to it through the phone

I'm using 1gig San Disk and it works fine. Once in a while it wont recognize it but you just need to reseed it and it will work.
