hi i just got my cable for my vx8000 no matter what port i have it use i cant get bitpim to recognize my phone any help would be great!! ty in advance

Verify you have the drivers installed. Try menu/settings&tools/Call settings/data settings/PC Connection/ok/. If that does not work try rebooting your phone while plugged in the PC and try it over again.

i have the usb cable but it has some thing in the middle and i just wondered why if i have usb i have to enter a com port isnt it just running out of the usb port... 2nd should fone be set to usb or serial
