7135 no longer being activated on VERIZON???

I called to activate a 7135 on my Verizon account and the rep at the other end stated that EBAY had been notified that they would no longer activate the 7135 on thier network due to all the problems they had with them.
Unfortunately that rep put a note in my account, so when I called back to get another rep and try again she read me the riot act stating that I should not waste their time trying to activate a phone that they clearly stated to me that they would not activate.

I am looking for some news or an article that claims this so the guy I bought it from will take the thing back.

(BTW the search function on these forums has not worked for me for the past 3 days, so sorry if it has already been discussed.)

Activate it yourself. The Verizon reps are just lazy and don't wanna do that. go to vzw.com my account, regester(or login) and change it yourself from there.

OK that sounds like a plan. At $100 this does not seem like a bad phone at all.
