dont cancel your data plan until you have a copy of all your contact and have saved all your pictures off your phone to your computer...

i ended my data plan and it took away all my contacts and all my pictures....

yeah... this was me

You have I think 1 Year to add the data plan back on your account and all your data will be there.

Oh yeah... with reguards to the above... the time period was reduced to from 365 days down to 60 days, after that the sidekick account is deleted.

I think it was mainly because people were calling in like every other month to change their email address/username... well whatever the reason the policy changed, you have 60 days to readd the plan, copy your contacts/pics then remove the plan

I think its different for every carrier, Fidos might actually be longer, not sure.
