Hey, I am looking at upgrading from my P900 to a P910a as I have heard it gets better reception with T-Mobile on the west coast and can support the 1/2 GB sony memory sticks. I have also heard it has a nicer screen. I don't really like the housing however, and was wondering if I could use a black P900 housing that I just purchased on the P910a? If I can't, can anyone recommend me a place to buy a MPX300 for cheap or upgrade my P900 to support the bigger memory sticks. I live in Sacramento, CA. Any help is greatly appreciated and my email is alexanderpereira@gmail.com, thanks!

Yes P910a is a great smartphone! Can use a 1GB memory stick. Duo pro type. As far as the black housing. From what I have read on the forums the P900 and P910 housing are different enough that they can’t be interchanged. But don’t know. I did change my P900 to a black housing that I got on eBay. The housing was white plastic painted black and as much as I loved the look when I got it changed over. I found that the black paint would ware off and it would look really back with the white showing through. Changed back to my original housing that was damaged 2nd to a few times it fell to the floor. In the process of moving it back to the original housing I broke one of the light plastic pieces so now there is just a hole there. Called SE to get the part and they said they do not provided any cosmetic replacement parts for the p900. The p910a is a gray silver combo and looks great. I would think twice about changing it. SE won’t be able to get you the parts that get broken in the process. Also the screen doesn’t work as well as it used to. It shoots little lines across the screen when trying to write. If you really want a black P910a I would suggest painting your original housing, but I think you may like the color of the p910a when you get it. It matches the HBH-300 and I think the 660 headsets very nicely. I will email you some pics of how the p900 looked black.

Awesome pics, thanks alot, what kinda case is that you have on the black p900 to protect it? I am also looking at the black housing on ebay, but I hope I can just keep it in really good condition by looking out for it, unlike what I did to my OEM housing, dropping it, etc. Well, I would love to paint my housing on my own as well, any DIYs for that? I would prolly eff it up anyways.... But let me know if you have any other suggestions, I love the black p900 look, think I might just go with that and wait to upgrade to a p910 or mpx in the future, not sure yet.

I use the SE

Have tried several this one works the best

My only complaint is that I can’t lock the keypad during a call. End up hanging up on people when I put the phone back in its case. I use BlueTooth headset so don’t want to have to hold the phone.
