I live in NC so customer service told me to send it in for "repair." They need to just release a WORKING firmware in the first place. This is so rediculous!

Yep tried the recovery mode as well. Recovery mode works if your installation crashes or something goes wrong. It just reinstalls the latest firmware. So the recovery mode doesn't work in this case because the install completes fine. There's a bug with the firmware update.
