bitpim/calender

Ok, I figured out how to back up my games and put them on the new phone, however I'm still having a problem with bitpim, it won't retrieve the calender and memo's from my vx8000. I can add and retrieve the phonebook, wallpapers and ringtones. Could it be the cable I'm using? I have the cable I was using with my vx6000.
Any help would be great!
