I'll try to answer your question simply. No. There is no way to share games on your phone via cable or any other way. The 8000 (as well as the other newer Verizon phones) use Brew2, which has a much more sophisticated encryption scheme than the older original Brew phones where you could share games. You MUST use GIN (Get It Now)for your games.

I read your other post asking if GIN was working, as well as your first post asking how to use a datacable to load games. Did you ever get GIN working, or have you messed with the settings to the extent that it no longer works? You DID keep untouched backups of all files you modified and documented the original settings so you can revert back, right?

BTW, there are ways of getting extended "free" demos of games from GIN, however Im going to let you figure out how the search function works, and then maybe you can figure out how to get them.

thanks , yes i did get gin working i had the phone set to carrier only , so i got it . i have searched , mabey i am just impatient.... I have allready read about the get it now demo extend, however my new point would be that i can only find 1 demo and that is texas holdem all the rest are charged immediatley, am i also missing something?? thanks again

Just keep checkin for free demos is about all I can suggest. I have about 5 or 6 demos on mine right now (too lazy to get up and go downstairs where I left the phone to check which ones). I remember I downloaded one called tiny checkers the other day. Also myself and others like the music recognition app called song ID, you get one free credit each time. I also use Mapquest mobile and accuweather premium, one day free each. Its a pain in the *** to look at each one individually, but thats the price you pay I guess.
