SX1 not charging?

I just picked up an SX1 phone. The battery has enough charge to make calls and such, but i am unable to charge the phone via the USB port on my computer. (USB works for other things, including charging my blackberry).
I can't charge the phone with a wall carger yet, because I am in the US, but have a wall charger from another country which uses a different electrical plug format.
Anyone seen this issue before? Any suggestion? While I wait for a reply, I'll try to find a wall style charger at a local phone store.

Finally called tech support. The USB data cable will not charge the phone, as it does with the blackberry. I ordered a charger online, ETC-520, as nothing was available locally.
