ROM 1.39 and 1.43 Registry edit problem

Since upgrading from 1.25 to 1.39 and 1.43 I can no longer update the registry thru Smartione. Has anyone else tried or had this problem? If so, have you found a way around this?

Firstly, Smartione has a new version that is available. It's possible with the new version you will be able to edit stuff. I also seemed to be having such a problem, but I didn't dig too much into it.

What you should probably do is download the free PHM Registry Editor, or use Resco's Registry Editor.

I should have also mentioned that I have tried the updated version of Smatione as well as the older version.

Did you "enable" Smartione in options?

Smartione installs read only. You have to go into options and enable "writing." I use the latest version with Cingular 1.43 with no problems at all.

I downloaded the PHM and works great and pretty straight forward. I just need a site that has some hacks!

Some registry things have changed in 1.43.
One is the background image for start page key.Haven't found others yet.

King Bear....thanks for the info for enabling the write functionality in Smartione.......that has been kick'n my butt since I upgraded from 1.3 to 1.4

It wasn't my post, it was drizze99's, but I'll take the credit for it. j/k. Thanks drizze. I too didn't know why the new version wasn't letting me edit, cause in the old version I had it set to read/write.
