i will be losing my text messages and all internet access on my sprint phone soon. so basically i will only have voice minutes to make phone calls. if i upload a picture or ringer to my phone using sprint focus or rumkin, is there any cost to this? are these uploads considered text messages? how does this work?

As far as I know only msg like sms pix or short email (ur sprint pcs address) are considered web msging or txt msgs. If ur uploading ur media to a locker or some sort located on a website or wapsite, access will be charged based on their standard per kb (transmitted during browsing not just the size of the file ur downloading) rate. This can add up pretty quickly & u may find buying or renting the media to be a cheaper solution. A good test to determine which makes the most sense would be callin customer service & askin how much u would have been charged 4 ur usage last month 4 example.

You would be billed .10 for each text messages received and .01 per kb of data usage when the phone is actually downloading the file.
