well to make a long story short, my treo was acting up from the first day i got it. my voicemail number would always reset, and i finally did the voicemail upgrade off of the palmone website. now my phone seems to go into sleep mode , and i won't wake up, blank screen, green blinking light, i call from another phone and NOTHING! then i take the battery out, and put it back in, screen lights up, loads, then blank again , indicator light glowing orange. i have no idea, on how to fix this problem. i bought it from a cingular dealer, that offers no return policy, so maybe i can send it to treo hopefully for a new one? i'm so mad, i love my treo when it works, but lately , it seems to never work. someone please help me, is there a number to palm i can call to have my phone replaced by treo? its only been 2 weeks.

I thought every Cingular dealer offer's a 30 day exchange policy. Pretty sure
an issue like this is covered under some sort of limited warranty. You sould try
taking it to the place you purchased from, and show them your phone.

i'm thinking of trying to do the software upgrade to 1.23 , i've read a few post and a few members had luck upgrading, and not having that problem anymore, but if that fails, i think i'm just gonna send it into PALM for repairs, can anyone give me any info on PALM? number? policy?

i think if you purchased directly from cingular store, there is a 30 day exchange/return policy. if you buy from an independent dealer, they may not.

While you push the reset button (button under the lid) hold down the up arrow, this will allow you to do a hard reset and should fix the problem. After that do a firmware upgrade and all should be good. Hope it works out.

Wirelessly posted (Samsung-SPHA680 AU-MIC-A680/2.0 MMP/2.0)

cingular = tripe but besides that...you should have bought it straight frm a cingular store instead of a independent licenced dealer..the ild' IMHO r real shady

That's incorrect. To do a hard reset, you need to push the reset button under the battery cover and hold the power key (red hang up button) until the round palm logo shows up. Then let go and push the up button to clear all data.

What you told him to do is called a warm reset. Two VERY different things.

cingular let me replace my phone no problems, as long as its a cingular treo, and with in the 1 year warrenty, they said i can trade it as many times as i want, just as long as it doesn't have any water damage .
