As far as the sd card. You can only store the additional maps on the card. The main download must be stores in the RAM. |

not sure about the wired version but the bluetooth one you can take with you. it is battery powered (or am I mixing it with another device). so just make sure you have the maps for the city you are going to. even the wired one should be easy to take with you (if the power adapter is the same as the one on the BT....just keep one power cord and data connector separate for when you travel) |

i know mapopolis does. a lot of times when i am in an unfamiliar place and there are two streets coming up, i don't like to hear "turn left 800ft", because frankly i don't really know how far 800ft is especially when i have to think quickly while driving. then i have to look down on the map to see what its talking about. so does tomtom say the street name out loud? |
