Panasonic GU87 camera phone UNLOCKED

Hi, I don't know if anyone can help me but I recently had my GU87 unlocked and certain features are no longer working. Like my feature to change the clock does not work and the camera shutter sound does not make that sound when I snap a picture. I know there are people out there that want that feature silent but I would like to enable it to work again. Can anyone tell me if these features gave out because of the unlocking process. If so I would like to know if they could be corrected. I recently purchased the OEM Panasonic serial data cable in hopes this may help maybe uploading files or patchs or fixes to my phone but again I am not sure. I have been searching the web looking for free downloadable software for my phone but have no luck. This stuff seems confusing at times but it is all new to me right now that is why I am here maybe some out there can give me the procedures in lamans terms step by step and I could try to correct these problems myself. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You all for your time and efforts.
Sincerely,
Rich

How was the phone unlocked? It is probable that the mobile software was changed to a hacked version and that is why the shutter sound does not work. You would need an OEM build of software to fix that. As for the clock, is the auto clock settings enabled? Is it gone from the menu? Quality of answers will be in the quality of the problem description.

Hi, I am not sure I have taken it to a cellular dealer and he had sent it out. In regard to needing an OEM Build of software where can I get that and how is it done. I have a Panasonic serial data cable to help me up load any type of software that is needed. Can you help me with this problem. If so I would really appreciate all your help.

Thank You all that reply to my posting.
Sincerely,
Rich

Hi, I am sorry for all the questions but what is the GD88 is that a software application and can it be down loaded and used with my serial data cable to re-install any applications that may of been corrupted due to the un-locking process.

Thank You
Rich

Your phone can be fixed by loading a new software version (this is actually a phone firmware) The latest version for GD/GU87 for the US market I know of is GAD87A58.rel which goes with the language pack G3D87L94.rel.
In order to load these files into your GD87 you need the WinMoDo software V3.3 and a serial data cable modified for test mode. The process takes about 18 min and should restore the original factory settings. You need to search with Google for these items since links are not allowed here. Good Luck.

be carefull....read as many docs on net to be sure how to do procedure of flashing....it is simple but you must know what and where

dont ever disconnect the data cable during flashing......it is 100% way to kill the phone
