mp4 >40min slowness problem

hi i use sorenson squeeze to make mp4.my phone is a p910i latest firmware CDA r4a01. with a 1g sandisk duo pro
settings i use for sorenson squeeze are :
audio:32k aac, sample rate 22050 stereo
video:
192x144 video sorenson mp4 ,bitrate 149, 1pass cbr
12frames/sec
quick compress
key frame every 4frames
streaming:slice picture onto packet 1466bytes,force block refresh every 0.5sec
with these settings the video playback is smooth up to about the 30min mark, then slows down. by the 40min mark i estimate frame rate to be about 6 fps and by the 45min mark its almost 1frame per sec 
why does this happen ? how can i get around this ? i've also tried using packet video but it always creates video that has the audio laggin by about 0.5-1sec (really annoying)
haven't used smartmovie cos i didn't want to pay for another program having got sorensen squeeze. other than chopping and splitting all videoclips around the 35min mark what else can i do??
