Bluetooth Internet access

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have an OQO model 1 with Bluetooth. I also have a Blackberry 7520 with Bluetooth and GPS. The fact that I can't connect to the internet via Bluetooth with my OQO using my 7520 is driving me crazy. I have read in past threads that the 7520 only supports handsfree with bluetooth. Today I read a thread that the 7520 also supports wireless keyboards, GPS, and serial connections. So my question is: Is there a hack, a Java app, anything that can make the bluetooth in my blackberry usable for internet access?

This has been discussed frequently on a variety of boards.

Unfortunately the answer is no--there is no hack for this.

Not likely. There are security risks associated to bluetooth use for data; especially internet traffic. RIM has traditionally been very conservative with regards to "risky" functionality.

So this is just a RIM thing. My Motorola v600 can use bluetooth for internet access.

This is all about security. Not going to happen till RIM allows it.
