Was able to download Agile, but AOL will not connect! Help

Hi. Sorry to be such a pain. I was able to load both versions of Agile (not at the same time), but neither one works. (Thanks for the help on that one) They both try to connect but say "unable to connect" after several minutes.

Any ideas ? I can do aol via text messages, but that is such a pain. Thanks in advance.

Are you able to connect to the web at the location you were using Agile?

I can connect with the internet just fine. It's just the aol that won't connect, but I try to connect with Agile, not media net. I can't download AOL throught media net. Any advice you could give would be appreicated.

Which phone are you using? The V551 or SMT5600 or another?

Using smt 5600. The aol on v551 (phone before this one) worked great!

Hmmm well if you are using medianet through cingular it should connect... I use medianet through cingular and have no problems. I installed the Wm2003 beta version and I haven't had any problems. Next thing I would check is your password. If you read about aim, aol, and mobile devices it is possible for you to change one password and not have the old one affected. Try simplifying your password through aol or aim, sometimes it doesn't like long passwords, /-'{l characters, and other things. With all that being said, the easiest thing to do is create a new screenname and password to test it. If this works and connects, then it is a problem with your password. But try creating a new screenname.

Hi Iwannabeused: I have not had a chance to try that, as life seems to get in the way of my fun. However, at the first opportunity, I will try to change the password, To be honest, my password is so simple, I don't know how I could make it any simpler. Thanks again for your help and will let you know when I get a chance to try it.

Hi Iwannabeused: tried to change the password, but no luck. Until I can get this thing to work, I will have to use mobile im with my family. A pain, but I have enough text messages through cingular that it should not be a problem. I will not give up though. LOL Thanks for your help
