What is the Side button do?

what does that button under the volume buttons do? Nothing about it in the manual.

Under preferences (buttons) you can customize that button to launch any program. Also, when you change the ringer volume using the rocker switch just above the button you're asking about, it will say "press side key to confirm" though i usually just use the center key of the 5-way.

I think it was put there mainly for the camera and even walkie-talkie service. I believe Orange, in Europe, has that. Maybe with the next Treo we'll all be able to do it.

I use the side button to launch the 'camera' app. Also, be careful about putting excessive pressure on it or letting it get hit or something...mine broke after about a month and I had to get the phone replaced.
