S66 wallpaper after FW upgrade

I used Goldhead's FW upgrade guide to upgrade my S66 to FW43 and now some of my wallpapers are fullscreen, but now the wallpapers I've made with S65 wallpaper maker. I've tried making the pics larger than actual screen size to try and force it to no avail. I still get a black bar on the bottom where my soft button options are. Anyone have any ideas? Please let me know.

I just made a wallpaper in Photoshop. Dimensions: 132x176 pixels. No problems here. No black bar, it is full screen even under the soft key options.
Are you sure your pictures are 132x176 in size?

I'm using an application that is supposed to be specifically for making wallpapers for the S65. I'll try photoshop and let you know how it turns out. I don't know why I didn't think of that before.

Thanks for knocking some sense into me Goldhead. I used to use Photoshop all the time to make skins for my Clie. I didn't even think of it for some reason to just resize pics for my phone wallpaper. It worked great!

BTW, Goldhead, do you know if there is any way to get the signal strength indicator changed on the S66. I did prefer the signal strength indicator from Cingular's FW34 to the one on FW43.

I would also like to get my right soft button to be "options" again. My internet still doesn't work either. I've talked to Cingular and they are having trouble doing an OTA update.

I've changed my signal strength indicators back to bars on my S66 after flashing to an S65.
You will need Siemens Picture Changer 3 beta 8 I believe it is. You will also need a fullflash from your S66 prior to flashing to S65, so you can pull the original pics of the bars. I even changed the color of the bars to blue!

I used the S65 Key Definer to change the right softkey to the Setup menu, since that's where all the options are on the S65, the options menu in the S65 only has like 4 things by default.

There is lots of grafic patches for FW43. You will have to use V_Klay to apply these patches. For examples look here: http://www.siemensmania.cz/patche.p...ne=S65&c=g&f=43

You will find tonz of utilities here. SPC3 Should be on the 2nd or 3rd page or so I think.

You just backup your phone, open the backup fullflash file, find the pics you want to replace and load in the new pics and save the flash.
You can also extract pics, which you will need to do to get the pics from the S66 fullflash.

Then you just reflash your phone with your own fullflash with x65Flasher.

Weeze-Dog, This applications worked great. I got my keys remapped like I want and my signal indicator back. I even changed the color of the signal indicator and battery indicator to purple.

The only problem I'm still having is with my internet on the phone. It always times out. Do you have the settings for the?

Unfortunately I don't. I have some of the settings, but not the passwords as it is all astericks in the phone.
You lose this information when flashing to another phones fullflash (if they aren't on cingular) as opposed to just upgrading the firmware. Cigulars settings are stored in the FFS rather than the firmware.
You may be able to have siemens OTA program it for you. I checked the website, and its not online for the S66, but you may be able to call them and have them or cingular reset your WAP settings.

I called Cingular and their OTA update didn't work. I know the password from calling them and as far as I and the Cingular tech could tell, all was fine. I may have to flash back to FW34 and do the upgrade your way if I can't get it working soon. Thanks for the info.
