Idle Observation on Verizon 650

I have a Treo 600 with Verizon, and wanted to upgrade to a 650. I went online with Verizon, who offerred to sell me the phone outright for $519. I then went to eBay, and found a lot of Verizon Treo 650's for $550 to $700 each. Why would anyone pay up to $700 for a Verizon branded phone, when Verizon sells them for $519?

Anyone have any idea about someone selling a Verizon 650 for less than $500?

people assume ebay will have the best deals perhaps?

People pay that much because it doesn't affect their contract. Some people like to stay away from contracts as much as possible. I used to be one of them. To some people it's worth the extra $100-200 to keep their current contract.
