Treo 650 case

Hi all,

I am looking to get the Treo 650 for Verizon, and would really love just to buy it now but of course there is a problem. My company doesn't allow camera phone so it kind of puts me in a bind. Since my mom has a prepaid cell and her provider (virgin mobile) is threating to cancel her plan unless she puts more money ($25 minimum) into the account (even though their service is horrible and she already has $45 in there) I wanted to get a family plan.

I don't really have too much time to wait for a non camera version so I was wondering if there was a case (maybe for the Treo 600) that could conceal the camera on the back. There is no real check with camera phones now, except a 2 second visual inspection, so I think this may work for now. Anyone point me to a case?

yeah see this is a huge problem eh

and they're does exist cameraless versions of the Treo 650, however i think they are only with sprint...maybe calling up PalmOne direct they can help you

but if you are daring you can do this: http://discuss.treocentral.com/show...ighlight=camera

or oddly enough i came across this today http://www.zcover.com/ (http://discuss.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=86146)

http://store.treocentral.com/content/accessories/4.htm

just remember you arent alone, a lot of people are in your position as well....and i feel sorry for you guys

Thanks for the link. I don't think I would be daring enough to take apart a brand new $500 phone.

So does anyone know if there is a Treo 600 case that would cover the camera AND fit the Treo 650? A plug or the ability to change the backing would be great though!

that case looks interesting.

I might have to check that one out if I decide that I dont like the case that I've got coming from ebay.

That case looks so cool...
The only thing I don't like about metal case (in general?) is that it does make the whole thing thicker (due to the foam inside to protect the device). And because of the that, pressing small buttons through cutout is harder (longer distance to reach the button).

I hope that one is not as thick as the others, yet still provide similar protection.

That case has a big freakin' hole right where the camera is. How does that solve anything?

yeah, it seems like it won't hide the camera at all. Also i don't like the fact that it hides the qwert keyboard.

How about this one, I bought one from here:
http://www.zcover.com/zCover_Produc...One_Treo650.htm
this covered everything....

I love the way that looks....but I can still clearly see the camera right through the case.
