If you use MSM on the SMT 5600 you dont have to pay for using it just for the data that is transferred when sending/receiving messages?
i think that is the case but would like to confirm
and thanks to this boards - you guys have been a big help, i hope soon i can start answering people's questions about this phone..

It uses data. So if you have a unlimited data plan then dont worry about it.

haha, us Verizon guys have MobileIM, AIM/Yahoo/MSN all in one, and it uses txt messages, not data...
$10/month for 1,000 txt's with verizon... can't beat it!
