hey wat accesories does a cingular smt5600t come with?

Posted by: Justin5117

Case, USB, PHONE BATTERY MANUAL etc

Posted by: JeffreyCentex

Case (clips to belt), Stereo Headset (earbuds), USB Sync Cable, Power Cable

Better than what we got with the 220 (no headset)...

My thoughts:

RF is a bit better (4 bars in my office vs 3 on the MPX - celltrack says it has a signal strength of 42).
Bigger display, but not as sharp (due to larger size)
It seems just as fast...
Bluetooth voice dial rocks...
Bluetooth Activesync Setup app..
The directional pad sucks...
Battery life seems to be better...

There is a bit of static due to the known HTC-Soundbug when I use the stereo headset, but I don't get that if I use BlueTunes with a headset (mono only as I don't have a stereo BT headset).

Now to try the Qtek ROM...

Wirelessly posted (My MPx220!: Mozilla/4.08 (PDA; Windows CE/1.0.0) NetFront/3.1)

No headset? Must have been from Cingular. My unlocked, black 220 came with a stereo headset.

Yeah I have a mpx220, and just bought my father the smt. Even tho the mpx has certain good features that the smt doenst have(hot swappable mini sd, very very slightly faster processor, and brighter screen) I must say that as i was playing with the smt, it's build feels alot more solid, so far it just works, no problems whatsoever, ive compared how betaplayer responds to both phones and its seems to me that actually the smt handles betaplayer much smoother than the mpx, the movies shows alot better with the big screen, i see that few people on here says the the .2 cm isn't a difference but trust me, when watching movies on it, it is! not onyl the screen is bigger but the earpiec and spearphone piece quality is a BIG difference compared to the mpx, whenever i play my movies on the mpx or on a call using the speakerphone with the volume turned up fully, the poor quality speaker crackles. I did the same with the smt and speakerphone sounded full with no distortion. The smt comes packed with more accessories, while the mpx is packed with the bare minium accessories, with a software and hardware glitched phone! yes the new firmware has fixed many major software problems that i've had with the phone, but in the back of my mind im still thinking like a customer, as much money ive spent for this phone, the quality of this phone should have been alot better from the time of purchase with minor glitches not major(build and software) dont get me wrong i do like my mpx and for some odd reason i do not want to trade it, maybe becuz i like the clamshell and plus with all the hell i ve gone thru with this phone, its almost like a bad marriage that im willing to stick it out with, but even with that, i still may have to realise that a breakup just might be inevitable!

Just got a new sim today! Little better RF. Thanks Omega.

Posted by: Omega2008

I knew it was your SIM...something about your old SIM that Windows Mobile didn't like lol.

Posted by: Justin5117

lol my new sim is a white gemplus sim on the back. My old was was green. Weird and its still 64k sim...

Posted by: optikalsaint

the old sims were region encoded, the new ones are nation wide sims. had a lot of people that moved to my city that needed to buy either a nw region sim or a national sim so they could get a new phone number.

to bad cingular can't just change the phone number without making you get a new sim like tmobile can
