System Error accessing Log and Messaging

Hi folks,

I've got an N-Gage QD which started to act strange yesterday. I got the message "System Error" when I accessed Log and Messaging. All the other apps are fine. I've tried booting the phone w/o the mem card and the problem still persists.

Any idea what could be the problem?

i think u might need a soft reset (*#7780) or a master reset (*#7780)...(no brackets)

Thanks for the tip. BTW, do I need to backup anything before I do a soft/master reset?

Darn, can't seem to reset the phone. Updating the Lock Code doesn't work

Is there a default code i can use? I don't remember setting it.

Oooh!! The default lock code (12345) works

Oh darn, the problem still persists even after doing #*7780#

And lady luck is on my side this time!

Did a hard reset (7370) and everything works fine as it should be. Phew! Didn't know the OS is so vulnerable to corruption
