Maybe MPx220 Mobile 5 is not farfetched.....

I was just reading how Microsoft made some major updates to Mobile 5. One of them is IT managers can manage the phones of their workers, and wipe a phone if it falls into the wrong hands.

Thinking about all the MPx220 phones that are already in the workplace, it might be a lot less expensive to update these phones with Mobile 5 than to replace them.

We might luck out.

Doubt it.....not when there is money to be made....

Umm, how many improvements over Windows NT were introduced in Windows 2000, yet Microsoft and PC vendors didn't upgrade Windows NT users to 2000 for free.

As for our phones, Moto will probably just release an MPx400 or something like that with the new OS, and we'll buy it.

Of course it wont be free. Verizon let their Samsung I600 user to upgrade from 2002 to 2003 for a price.

I didn't quite understand it, but there was a picture of the top half of an MPx220 in the Window's Mobile 5.0 booth that I saw today. Maybe it's a sign they'll come out with it? I'll try to get pictures of all the phones they have out there. I only had a few minutes between sessions to walk through quickly.

Alot of us already know that it has been used on a MPx 220 and that it works fine....the problem is, that Motorola being a big money hungry company that it is would probably want to develop a new smartphone with the new OS to make more money. I would love it if it was made available but......I doubt it. Only time can tell.
