Retreiving messages for IMAP4 on SMT5600

After setting up my IMAP4 client on the Audiovox SMT5600 (From Cingular), and selecting the "Send and Receive" option, I see the following statuses - connecting, logging in, retreiving headers, retreiving folders, and finishing. There is however no email being displayed. Any help appreciated.

Well do you know for a fact that you have email on the server? Do you check your mail with a mail client on your computer? If you do, it will download the messages to your computer and no long be on the IMAP server, you can change this by making it keep a copy on the server, that way if you download your email on your computer, it will still be on the IMAP server.

The email is being retreived from an exchange server, where I know there is email on the server. Thanks.
