Help with International Data Charges from Cingular using the Treo 650 for Email

I'm currently deciding between getting a Blackberry or the Treo 650. My company doesnt have a Blackberry Enterprise Server, and corporate email can be accessed through POP3, so I thought the Treo 650 would be a better option for me. But given that the Treo has to connect to the internet and look for email messages, when I'm travelling overseas it seems like I'd incur a data charge every time it looks for new messages (the only plan I saw from Cingular for unlimited data is US only). Is that a correct assumption, and is there any way to estimate how much that would actually cost? Thanks very much for any help.

I have the 7100g BB with Cingular, and they offer unlimited Email & Internet International for $69.00. My employer does not have BES as well, however, I can get to Corporate email from the Web, and so does the BB Web Client. I hav e been in the UK since April, and have not incurred any roaming data charges, as expected. Any other Cingular device will incurr roaming data charges at .0195/kb.
