This may be an obvious question for many of you, but I just want to make sure I understand the way this might work before I cough up a few hundred bucks.

So if I buy an unlocked GSM trio 600 or 650, am I able to just swap my current tmobile sim card to use the phone on the same plan? Is all that's necessary? To include data is there anything else necessary outside of adding the the tmobile data plan? Any other "gotcaha's" I should know.

Yes, an unlocked trEo 650 will work, all you do is pop in your sim. Obviously
you would add a data feature if you want to use the net, send pic's, etc.

An unlocked 650 is much more expensive than a Carrier 650 though.
You should look into that.
