How to create a MIDI from an MP3?

Ok. I tried searching, but couldn't find anything. I have always wondered this, but now I want to know how to do it myself. I can create WAV's and convert MP3's easily, but MIDI's are another story. I tried various programs from download.com that had mp3->midi in the name, but the song turns out so lousy, you can't even tell what it is. Anybody have any suggestions?

No program can convert mp3/wav to midi. Yes there are programs that claim to do this, but as you said you can't even tell what it is, just sounds like random noise.

Best bet is to make your own MIDIs with Anvil studio. But you got to know how to read/write musical notes, so it helps if you play an instrument.

I'm pretty sure he means mp3's to midis hes just a retard thats all. Cause you definately convert mp3's to wavs. All you need is winamp.

I am pretty sure that ringtone factory converts mp3 to wav...

I think that all that program does!

yes you can convert mp3's to wavs with goldwave! but it is a little harder to convert wav to mp3! it works but you still have that playing noise! like on wav ringtones you hear that old style record playing sound! or like when there is a loud mic on and you can hear the sound of it when no one is speaking on it! ya know what i mean?

why did this thread turn into an argument over if mps > wav is possible? of course this is possible, i know this. just use DBpoweramp. the question was from MP3 to MIDI
