Backing up over Bluetooth?

Can this be done?? I have had the hardest time running a backup. Everytime i try, it gets the the point where the phone restarts, but then it does not reconnect to it. I have only managed to do one backup, when i first got the phone, however, when i tried to restore it, it did not work. I have tried to do it over USB, and over bluetooth. With bluetooth, it doesnt recognize the phone.
Is anyone else have problems backing up and restoring?? Could it be I need to do a firmware update? I only got my phone two weeks ago, so not sure if i needed to update or not. I have a p910a, with xp.
Please help
