Does anyone else really like the new design? I love it... too bad it's taking sooo long for it to come out.

Maybe Acura will allow me to terminate my lease two years early? :rolleyes2

The new GTI is a great looking car. I would I have got one if it was out when I was looking for a new car. I hear the the VW quality and reliability is below par when compared to other makes though.

I am not a fan of the new look (including the Jetta)... the R32 was a good step in the right direction IMO, I don't know what happened after that.

i love the GTI, but i hate everything else about volkswagon, and the new new looks soo sexy.

While I do like the new look across VW/Audi model lines (the front trapezoidal grille), it's impractical. Since I live in Manhattan and can't afford to garage a car, that grille is just asking to be hit and broken when parallel parking .

What kind of Acura?

Posted by: Skylinepilot

RSX if I am not mistaken.

Posted by: Koofteh

Yeah, RSX.

I, too, am not a big fan of Volwswagen in general.

Eww, what happened to the title of the thread?

I'm reading about this flappy paddle gearbox, looks quite good! Probably the cheapest F1-style gearbox? Not the gearbox itself, I mean on the cheapest car.

i too am a big fan of the 2005 GTI/GOLF. you gotta see it to love it

Only if they would add an option for one to paint the portion behind the licence plate, the same colour as the body

You mean DSG? It's nice and shifts ridiculously fast

I don't like the new VWs very much...

I didn't like the new Jetta at first, but it's growing on me. The lowered Jetta with the OEM Votex lip kit at the auto show in Toronto changed my mind about the new Jetta.
The new Golf/GTI on the otherhand, I love the look of it.

Some say that they like DSG much better than BMW's SMG. Once they get a few bugs worked out, they'll be all set!

Posted by: Koofteh

The SMG is different than the DSG though, right? I think VW's has two clutches and the SMG only has one.

I like this new GTI too. Black/Black, DSG, Xenon.

but Feb 06 is kinda.. too long of a wait.... Was looking at a Smart, but I'm not feeling the soft tops nor the greenhouse..and that the smart also have a longgggg wait list.
