Any app for "forcing" network to stay.......

This is probably a fairly unique scenario to Canada if you are Fido Customer using Rogers.

I can force my Treo 650 (unlocked GSM) to go to 850/1900 and use Rogers as the network (I'm a Fido customer but my preference is to stay locked to Rogers becuase of 850 and EDGE service.

The problem is whenever the phone resets or loses all power or anything major happens I have to do the network force stuff all over again - this takes about 2-4m - its a bit of a hassle. So I'm wondering if there is some Application out there that "semi-permanently forces" the network to stay the way I want to be and that will endure through soft resets, etc.

Peace.

While in the phone menu, go to the Options Menu and select "Select Network" then chose 850/1900 for your band. The phone will then look for a network - this will take a few moments.

It will then come back to the same network screen with some names of networks available - choose one of them and select okay - it will then try and register to the network you choose. If its successful you are done.

Peace.
