Hey guys im really close to buying a mpx220 i have been comparing it to the nokia 6260(black) for a while
and my deciding factor is if the mpx220 has any emulators yet? i know nokias symbian devices do even though there running at about 115mhz(nokias smbian 7.0 and i forgot what the eXACT clocking was)
so im thinking motorola should have emulators since it runs even faster hopefully.
since i cant play symbian games on the mpx220 id likee 2 at least have an emulator(FOR GAMES I OWN) so if you have any info at all please respond
thx

theres no reason for there not 2 b snes emulators that run flawlessly you guys need 2 step it up and talk 2 some of the famous gp32 and zodiac coders...im sure they will come 2 this platform since it will b very popular and bring them money!!!! im just trieng 2 get a couple things started lol we need more apps/games (that are good, example-symbian games) and also
can yuo run ppc stuff on the mpx220? i kno sum apps r made for 400mhz but the ones that arent will they work?

No, only applications specifically made for the MS Smartphone platform will work on a MS Smartphone.

MPX220 is the best choice for gaming, lots of choices in games. The directional pad is HUGE and perfect for gaming.

Just a little input on emulation. I had a nokia 6620 and I recently purchased a mpx220, and in the field of emulation I found the 6620 to perform much better. My NES emu on my old 6620 worked flawlessly, but on my 'faster' mpx220 it seems really buggy. ie. sound distortion, slow framerate, etc. SNES emulation is fairly worse. 6620 ran it ok with no sound, all my mpx220 does is freeze up, wont even run a ROM!! BTW, I'm comparing smartnes and pcket SNES for mpx220 to VSUN and VNES for symbian. This is just my 2 cents, and if anyone has any tips to remedy the problems I would much appreciate it!!!!

I have 1.28 ROM and have been using a NES emulator, super fast, smooth, and no distortion in sound or framerate...spent almost 3 hours in a car playing zelda this weekend...great fun!

PocketSNES is a Super Nintendo emulator, where as SmartNES is an 8-bit nintendo emulator. BTW, anyone had any luck with SNES emulation on the mpx220????

Has anyone tried the JBenchmark3D on MPx220 ? JBenchmark 2.0 MPx220 is the top according to jbenchmark.com ... Somone please try the 3D!!!!

Yea, I have tried it...it was posted a long time ago...but its not very acurate and you will get busted readings, the MPx 220 does better than the SMT 5600 but its not a huge difference.

Thanks!
Can PocketSNES and SmartNES be used interchangeably?
If not then are the PocketSNES games better then SmartNes games?
When you say SNES do you mean SmartNES?

I can't get PocketSNES for the smartphone to work. It just freezes loading a ROM, and then locks up the phone completely. I am running SmartNES(Nintendo 8 bit) no problem, but want to move up to the SNES(Supernintendo) games now. Anybody know of a program that actually works on the MPX220.

Does anyone know if there are any other emulators available for the MS Smartphone platform, specifically a gameboy advance emulator.

Wondering the same thing....

I think MPx220 doesn't have enough power to run GBA games? SNES wasn't that good. I ran it and no sound. Only able to load it full screen. If you load rom normal screen, it gets stucked. FPS are ok... can't run ROM over 4mb.. max 2MB i'm able to run. Can't run through miniSD, only from phone memory. Probably needs a better emulator?
