how the heck do u organize it so it's in alphabetical order? i copied the # from the sim to the phone and it's not in alphabetical order it's all over the place ~ looks kinda like the order i added each contact from oldest to latest ~~ quite annoying

edit the reading order in EVREY contact...

Posted by: kimchi29

unless you have the uk unlocked v902 then there is no problem

Posted by: wai_lai416

so basically if i flash it with the uk v902 or sx813 firmware it'll fix it? hmm more reason to get the firmware

Posted by: RayRaymond

i will be just briefly

u have to do every single names...

ex:
Peter Ambross
345-6789

Last:
Peter Ambross

Number
345-6789

reading:
peter ambross

you have to do it in every entry, pm me if you still don't understand.
i will walk u through

Posted by: wai_lai416

or u can just put the first letter for the reading order like : P it'll do the same :P

The reading field is necessary in the JP version because in Japanese names written in kanji can't be ordered properly, so you write the name in hiragana/katakana in the reading field so the phonebook can be sorted properly (obviously only people who know Japanese know what I'm talking about). Obviously not necessary (and hence not present) in the EU version.

AL9999, interesting.. thanks for pointing that out! I had thought about how you can't properly sort kanji, so I was a litte curious as to how they did it. Now I know!

man. i have to send my contacts one by one by bluetooth or infrared right now. i also found that if my contacts from my other phones contain email or something like that, they won't transfer.. this is probably why i can't mass transfer my contacts.

the mp3 MUST BE under 192kbs or it won't play. and make sure it's in the sound and ringtone folder. just go to gallery and then my sound and ringtones. select wherever u have it either phone mem or sd card then select to play

it won't show up in the media player unless it was transferred using the sd jukebox program and the panasonic card reader

drm files is only for mp3 ringtones

the SD jukebox program is included with the panasonic card reader, that's what i was told. or if you buy the panasonic d-snap dc it'll also come with it. otherwise just hope someone who has it will share. as for the card reader you can buy it off hk auction and ask someone to ship it here or get it from amazon japan

I'm right here baby!

i think only the Japanese firmware requires your mp3 files to be copied on this "Special" Card reader.. With the Euro version, you can play them directly off the phone with ANY card reader.
