I just bought an unlocked S710a to be used on T-Mobile. I love the phone, but I'm having a bit of trouble with the internet connections. How do I set it up for use with T-Mobile? Do I need to call T-Mobile customer service?

And finally, is there a way to make it a generic phone, removing all of the Cingular stuff on there? Maybe I have to do that first. Any info will be appreciated.

I could really use some help here. I've put in all the standard settings for T-Mobile GPRS and VPN, and when I try to connect to the internet, I get "Connection Failed."

I've searched these forums for help, but I've found no one who has set up an S710a with T-Mobile.

I stopped by a TMobile store and had them send the WAP and MMS settings seperately to my phone via OTA. The rep said he found the info in an internal sysem called "Streamline".

I currently have an unlocked V800 and use T-mobile. I went to the configurator site and used the Z600 settings.

The T-Mobile site didn't work for me, despite several attempts. It sent the information to the phone, but it gave an error message.

However, after digging through these forums, I went to the Sony-Ericsson site, where they have a "configurator" for the S710a with T-Mobile.

It worked. I have email access. T-zones access. And, when I was in an EDGE area, I got connectivity. I hope others will be able to use this to get their S710 up and running with T-Mobile.

on the phone goto connect -> data communications -> data accounts -> setup a new account EDGE

APN
wap.voicestram.com
user =(leave blank
pw = (leave Blank)

pw request off
ip address (leave blank)
dns (leave blank)

then goto internet setup in the data communications menu select
connect using -. the account you just created
internet mode - WAP
ip address 216.155.165.50

This should get you onto the network the homepage you want is

wap.myvoicestream.com

im getting my 710a in a week or so.. how do the plages display on tzone's..normal.. or are they iinda' like the sidekick's?

if you use the 710's browser it's text only, you can down load webview from handango.com its a java based browser and you can view full graphic enriched pages i still can't get the aim to work on the 710

I am having problem connecting my unlocked Sony Ericsson V800 with z800 firmware to the internet. My carrier is T-Mobile but I don't want to use them. There is a cheaper service out there called hopke.net
that I joined. They sent me the IP address and everything that I need but I am not sure hot to configure my phone. Can you help?
