HELP!! 902sh japan version unlocked. bluetooth and reprovisioning

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hi my Sharp 902sh was unlocked and when I press the menu button, it always always asks me if I need reprovisioning. How can I stop that.

Second problem is that the bluetooth on my phone works and it pairs with my computer. But the software(handset manager) just can not connecte to my phone althought my phone BT has connected with the PC. Any idea how to solve this problem? WHAT IS WRONG??? ... . Please!!! I am pretty pissed right now and needing help. Thank you.

This was already discussed previously, on the Japanese Sharp 902SH, there has always been the reprovisioning issue when entering the menu and this cannot be removed as well as problems with the Bluetooth. The Bluetooth issue can be fixed if you are located in HK, but otherwise, i think all the problems has been fixed with the Sharp 902 when flashed to the Sx813 firmware.

So does that mean I should change the operating system to SX813's? How is the firmware of the 902 sh euro version? Does it have the same problems as the japan version?

I haven't heard of anyone flashing their firmware to the Euro UK version, cause i don't think its possible at this point, but on the Sharp 902 UK version, there is no such problem, bluetooth is working finee as well as no reprovisioning and no problems with connecting to any of the networks. Mp3 playback is also working and sounds great, quality is comparble to an ipod. Only beef i have with the Sharp 902 is that saving pictures take about +/- 10 seconds, if saving a 2.0 MP pictures at the finest resolution to a high speed SD memory card (i'm currently using the SanDisk Ultra II 1Gb). Flashing your JP Sharp 902sh to the sx813 firmware is possible but only from HK right now, and that should solve all your problems with the reprovisioning and bluetooth. As far as the pictures go, i think saving pictures is still slow, but that is a hardware limitation.

Thank you once again Jiro. see, I am this thing aganist SX 813 firmware. The menu interface looks very ugly and it doens't match with the phone at all. A phone like 902sh should have a good looking interface as well.

You are saying that nobody has every flash the Euro version firmware? Can it possibly be done??

Posted by: jiro

The Euro firmware is not available on the market, and even the SX813 firmware was extracted from the phone itself because people were having problems with the 902sh firmware regarding those issues that you had mentioned. Because there is not demand for the Euro firmware, this had not become availabe. I do agree that the sx813 firmware does not look as good as the euro firmware because of the colours, but otherwise, it had support for chinese characters and solves both the BT and the reprovisioning problem.

Did you ask your provider about the netowrk settings?
I think it could be solved if you edit your network settings in some kind of way..

But I am not sure.. :rolleyes2

The others.
1.The european version does not have the same problems as the JP ver, and it (the Eur ver) can be flashed onto any 902, if it's a new version phone..
You can flash it into a change your phone into an euro ver, if you have an updated/ "late / new version" phone..
2. The bluetooth can be fixed as well.

L & K in japan does it, and do international shipping, but they don't have paypal yet..

A little info on www.landk.ne.jp/en/unlock/unlock.html

Cheers

My one question is, if one were to unlock a JP firmware version, but still use it on its original network(Vodafone), would you have to deal with the repro problem?
