Which one is better ... Camry 05 or Accord 05. They both look pretty much the same. Is there any major difference.

The Accord has a nicer interior IMO.

my choice is the camry....since the accord has the biggest be-hind ive ever seen on a car. its so ugly, but thats my opinion. also:

-Camry SE is about 5k USD cheaper than Accord EX (both 4cyl)
-Camry SE has 2more lb torque than Accord EX

or

-Camry SE V6 is about 3k USD cheaper than Accord EX V6
-Camry has 225hp and 240lb torque while Accord has 240hp and 212lb torque.

all depends, but ya the Accord has optional navigation while Camry does not.

No way. The 2005 Camry interior is way nicer than the Accord..fancier maybe, nicer, no. Also when you sit in an Accord you feel it's smaller than the Camry..

The Camry definitly have it.

anyways.. IMO the difference between the 2 are

-the Camry SE trim have a sportier suspension than the Accord.
-Larger usable trunk in the Camry
-I4 engines: i-Vtec in the Accord vs VVTi in the Camry... (I'd prefer i-Vtec but then it didnt feel any powerful than the VVTi in the Camry..)
-MUCH more responsive V6 engine on the Accord
-no ABS on the base/LX Accord....... (surprised me..)
-Gas Struts on the Camry (the difference is there..)

Maybe you can tell us what you are looking for and what is your budget? Both cars can vary ALOT depending on your budget.

Seems like Accord have a little better safety ratings, however, both are pretty solid car and safe.

From my experiences driving both Toyota and Honda,

Toyota - Comfort and smooth ride
Honda - Firm and solid ride, easy to drive, manuvers really good

im a total honda believer. I have had a civic since 1999 and dogged the hell out of it and it keeps coming back for more. I dont see how the accord engine could be that much more worse.

but if looking to race...i say get a nissan

Same. But then, at that price point, there are better choices..(again, paying $43 grand for a 4banger isnt exactly a good deal..)

No that was street racing in the special olympics.

I would have to say, drive both and then decide. They are both proven cars that will last a lifetime if cared for. Also both solid built machines. It's more or less preference in this situation.

really can't go wrong with either camry or accord. have had both cars in my family (several from previous generations) and all are still running strong.

bad things about accords:
-brakes have always been bad, not sure why
-interior feels a bit smaller than camry. not small overall, just smaller.
-pay more for honda resale value

bad things about camry:
-styling. have never, ever liked their buick-like styling
-all the camrys in my family have had water pump problems later on in their lives (post 80K mile mark)

OT: how can you mention a viper or z06 for racing. especially when your name is SKYLINEpilot. bigger is not always better lol

anyways back on topic. both cars are good "family" cars but is the camry still on top of the theft list?

my sister had the same dilemma: camry or accord

if you read some of my posts, you'll see that she ended up getting a camry, because its like an accord, but slightly cheaper. She also likes many of the features offered. With a lot of extras thrown in, your camry can still be cheaper than the base accord. From my experience driving the camry, i really love the comfortable ride, the responsiveness, and the fule economy

. But that was her choice, and i dont think you can really go wrong with either car. And IMO the accord has an ugly behind

The Accord is due for a facelift for 06, I suggest wait a bit for the 06 models then make your decision.

We have a 2004 Honda Accord EX in our family (with the 4 cylinder) and I think it's really a great car. The interior is really really nice! The ride is solid, but I do find the car very "isolated", which is a good thing I suppose. Don't really expect any "sportiness" at all... it's just a very nice, mini quiet "pre-luxury" ride (if you get the leather and all).

But if I were you, I would DEFINITELY wait for the 2006 Honda Accord. There's gonna be a new rear end and a reworked front (God knows the rear end on the current Accord (including mine) is pretty ugly looking and plain). And on top of that... there's gonna be a power boost for all the models across the line. It's somewhere between 10 to 15hp.

So wait for it... even if you still want the '05 then, at least the price will come down on the '05.

Actually the Camry is getting a new platform in mid/late 2006 (The one the new Avalon is using)... along with a really nice body..

I say just get whatever car you like better now. by the time the face lift/new platform comes the car would already have what, 40k km on it?
