I can't stand waking up to the the alouetta tone anymore, and want to figure out a way to use an mp3 as an alarm tone. Anyone know how to do it?

There have been many many many discussions on this! Put your mp3s, wmas, whatever in either \storage\Application Data\Sounds or \Storage Card and then go to Settings>Sounds to change it!

Wirelessly posted (iPAQ 4150 & MPx220: MOT-MPx220/1.430 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; Smartphone; 176x220))

well that doesn't work. you gotta change the registry to enable mp3 for sms and all that

"What part of the registry do we edit in order to allow mp3 Alarm Clock sound?"
.................................................. .................................................
In your Registry go to:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\ Clock] and rename

"Category"=Value date"Alarm" to "Category"=Value date"Ring"

.................................................. ............................................
Now you need to add (Scrpt) String Folder. In Clock folder hit

Values, hit Menu, Select New Value (String). Value name: (Script)

and Value data: pw10pwc110pw10c110ppw30c110pw30c110pw30c110pw120c1
10pw3000c110p Ok your done.
.................................................. ...........................................
So you should have 3 Sting in Clock folder.
.................................................. ....

1.Category: Value date"Ring".

2.Script : Value data: pw10pwc110pw10c110ppw30c110pw30c110pw30c110pw120c1
10pw3000c110p

3.Sounds:

.................................................. ......

Now go to the Start\Settings\Sounds on your phone. In Clock

Setting you will be able to select MP3,and WMA from your Storage

Card.

Similar changes can be made for email notification as well

Alarm with a single track is nice, but has anyone tried making an asx (playlist) file an option?
