Hi,
I bought an AT&T branded SMT 5600 from eBay, got it unlocked, and got Cingular service (they refused to sell me an AT&T sim chip). The phone works fine, except for mobile Internet. I've searched through dozens of forums, tried a few different settings that were posted, however it doesn't work. The error message I get when trying to go to any website is "The page you are looking for cannot be found."
I saw something about a CAB file which would rebrand the phone as Cingular, but I've not been able to find a working link to this file nor am I sure if it will solve my problem. I'm sure that other people out there have had this same issue - but I haven't had much luck in locating resources to solve it. Does anyone out there have any ideas for me? Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I pulled down the PDF and the zip file - lots of good information. I had my Blue phone unlocked yesterday, went to the Cingular store and got the Orange SIM card for it (also got my wife a new phone) and the Internet settings still didn't work. I found this earlier today, made the changes and it all works again!

Thanks very much for the post, but unfortunately I'm in the same boat - it's not working for me as well. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

I've finally solved this! It looks like the AT&T phone defaults to PAP authentication. I changed it to CHAP and it works perfectly now!
To do this, go to Start->More...->More...->Configurations->GPRS Authentication
Now just change to CHAP, okay out of it, and now the Cingular settings should work.
